The Para DI can provide a clean gain boost for optimizing the signal-to-noise ratio, EQ for dialing in a warmer tone and more options for connectivity but I'm don't think I can say it will add woodiness to the sound. That comes from the source. The iBeam is certainly woodier sounding that many pickups - certainly one of the woodiest when it was developed - but if you want a more natural and accurate response to the resonance of the guitar's body, you may need to upgrade to something newer and possibly more elaborate.

  2. Hello, I have an I-beam active mounted in a Eastman AC712, the sound is very close to what I want but need some eq and more "wood" feel. Do you think the LR Para DI will be a good option for me ? Thank you.
