M1 Passive Para DI Gain

I feel like I am working in the dark with the gain setting. Can anyone recommend a good gain setting on this combo? I have tried it all the way up and i dont hear any distortion. But I am working with old rock n roll ears. Sounds good to me but maybe not to my audience.

There's likely nothing wrong with your old rock 'n roll ears. The output from a passive M1 is such that it's not uncommon for the Para DI's gain control to be set at full without overdriving the input of that preamp.
