iBeam Wins Second M.I.P.A.

Sales director Ryan Angle addresses the
audience with M.I.P.A. in hand

FRANKFURT -- For the second consecutive year, the L.R. Baggs iBeam has been awarded the Musikmesse International Press Award (also known as M.I.P.A.) for best guitar pickup. This honor gives L.R. Baggs an elite distinction in an already elite class of product designers and manufacturers, as only a select few companies have won this award twice for the same product. The winners were chosen by the editors of 55 musical instrument and pro audio magazines representing 19 countries, making the M.I.P.A. "the 'Grammy' of the musical instrument/pro audio industry."

Doug Provisor of Line 6 accepts the M.I.P.A. For Most Innovative Product

The awards, which recognize outstanding product design in 40 categories, were issued at the Musikmesse trade show in Frankfurt, Germany on March 6, 2003. Ryan Angle, sales director for L.R. Baggs, was on hand at the ceremony to receive the trophy for Best Pickup. This category includes both acoustic and electric guitar pickups.

In addition, the L.R. Baggs X-Bridge-pickup-equipped Line 6 Variax modeling guitar was awarded M.I.P.A.'s top honor of "most innovative product" for 2003.
